News From Madrid - June 16th
Still Getting to Know Carabanchel
Sparks everywhere! I’m learning, seeing, doing. Many of the businesses have been closed over the weekend and tomorrow I will venture over (or under, probably under) the river, but today I had so much more getting acquainted to do. I stumbled across an anti-establishment cultural center that operates without money and has been doing so for 12 year! They happened to be starting a Peruvian film festival when I arrived. I sat through a film and a half before I admitted to myself that I didn’t really understand anything.
Been musing a lot about sacred geometry and borders and texts.
